Mentoring Pilot Projects Taking Off…

• “Math Mentors” Elementary Level mentoring pilot projects have taken off at 3 schools: Union Moore , TPS Sequoyah, and KIPP Academy. Early feedback from Students, Administrators and Mentors has been positive.  Expansion to other schools is being eyed for Spring ’15.
• Engineering Alliance for the Arts (bridge building competition pilot project pairing Union High School with mentors from the Oklahoma Structural Engineering Association) is “on the runway”.  Takeoff scheduled for Spring ’15.
• Mentoring and Curriculum Teams are working to bring other mentoring pilot projects (Project Lead the Way, OERB, etc.) to “flight ready” status. More to follow as pilots develop.
