Kitchen Science for RSVP held March 26 was highly successful.  Purpose was to provide RSVP volunteers with tools to work with youth to engage them in STEM activities. Thank you to Christi Luks for leading it.  Great fun was had by all. The hand-out for the eleven activities is available.

  • Several of the Advisory Council members volunteered to serve on the Curriculum IR at the March 1 meeting.  They are Kuma Browne, Chamber PIE; Belynda Clanton, JA; Ava Fisher, John Hope Franklin Center;  Paige Kennedy, Campfire; William Ollar, TPS; and’ Rose Pixley, Jenks PS.  We welcome them to the IR.
  • Monthly meeting date will be the second Thursday at 2 pm.
  • STARBASE’s Gate’s Grant Lessons are available to post on the TulsaSTEM.org website. Lessons include 10 Second Tower, Bernoulli 1, Bernoulli 2, Careers, Fighter Jet, Geometry, Indy Card Car, Moon Phases, Ratio Bingo, Scientific Notation, and Two Feet Feat. Lessons include PowerPoint’s and detailed instructions. We are looking at ways to make them easily accessible to volunteers and teachers.
  • Orientation meeting with new member Rose Pixley was held on 4/15/2015.  Jaisy Myers, TRSA, and Shan Glandon, Jenks, attended with Barbara Wollmershauser sharing past and current status of IR.
