Coronavirus UpdateTo our STEM friends,

As the Covid-19 situation evolves, we know families are affected by many of the tough decisions that are being made. Schools and businesses are closing or going to virtual platforms and families are having to adjust their lives to fit these new norms.

While we are not closing, Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance has implemented a work-from-home policy for its employees until it is safe to return to the office.

Our staff is meeting every day via videoconference so we can continue to fulfill our mission – it just might look a little different from what we originally planned! Many of our upcoming events have been transformed into virtual or social media-only events. You can check our website to find out what’s going on with those and how you can participate from the safety of your home. We’re also expanding the resources on our website for activities that can be done at home. Of course, some of our events have been postponed, so watch our website for new dates.

And because we’re all about science, we like to think of it this way: like animals that have to adapt over time to live in a hostile environment, we’re doing the same thing — only on a temporary basis.

If you have ideas for ways we can help families while working to build an abundance of diverse STEM talent, please email us at info@tulsastem.org

We wish you all good health and safety.

We’re taking guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Tulsa Health Department as well as local, county, and state officials, and making the appropriate changes as directed.
