Join Discovery Lab for its second annual Tinkerfest! A one-day celebration of creativity, curiosity, and innovation! Support Discovery Lab as we bring together makers, artists, and tinkerers to engage with the community.

At Tinkerfest, makers, artists, and tinkerers come together to showcase their work and invite you to join the DIY fun. Experience hands-on, open-ended discovery celebrating science, technology, engineering, art, and creativity. Reclaim, reuse, and reconstruct cast-off materials, learn new skills, and explore innovative making.   

Each Tinkerfest features a special passport connecting all the regional Oklahoma and Arkansas Tinkerfest experiences. Guests can collect unique stamps by attending multiple Tinkerfests, adding a personal touch to their passports.   

The cost of Tinkerfest is included in general museum admission.

Flight Night is an action-packed evening including a live auction, recognition of top STEM educators in Oklahoma, gourmet dinner and drinks, two air shows, and a drone show! Sponsorships range from $2,500 – $50,000. Tickets are required.

We’ve pulled out all the stops to make this year’s festival the best yet. Our lineup includes returning fan-favorites like the captivating film and photo awards show, the jaw-dropping 50-drone light show, and the adrenaline-pumping FPV tiny whoop drone races. And of course, there are plenty of opportunities to learn about the latest in drone technology.

AI Tinkerers is a meetup designed exclusively for practitioners who possess technical, machine learning, and entrepreneurial backgrounds and are actively building and working with foundation models, such as large language models (LLMs) and generative AI. If you’re deeply passionate about creating LLM-enabled applications, have hands-on experience in building such systems, and are eager to connect with like-minded individuals who share your level of commitment, then this group is the perfect fit for you.

Do you know a 4th or 5th grader who loves to build things?

Students can join Gathering Place and Fab Lab for this unique hands-on engineering experience where they will get to team up to construct their own microboat and test it on the water!

Sail-a-thon is open to all 4th and 5th graders with an accompanying adult.

Sail-a-thon will take place on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ONEOK Boathouse and Willow Beach. Sail-a-thon is free to attend and participate in, and lunch and materials are provided thanks to our sponsors at Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance.
