JA Inspire is not just an event; it’s a unique mentorship opportunity designed to make a lasting impact. This program brings STEM professionals together with middle school students, a crucial age when many young individuals may begin to lose their connection to STEM fields. Through JA Inspire, these professionals achieve three significant goals:

Interactive Mentorship: STEM professionals have the chance to interact directly with middle schoolers, bridging the gap between aspirations and reality. This interaction is a catalyst for inspiration, helping students connect with their STEM identity.

Career and Industry Insights: Students gain invaluable insights into various STEM careers and industries. Through firsthand accounts, they get a glimpse into what these professions entail, igniting their curiosity and guiding their career aspirations.

Engaging Educational Activities: JA Inspire goes beyond mere conversation; it engages students in educational activities that reinforce their understanding of STEM. These activities serve as building blocks for their future endeavors.

Mark your calendars for next year’s event on February 28-29, 2024, at the SageNet Center at Expo Square. This two-day event will provide hands-on career exposure to over 5,000 8th-grade students, including nearly 1,200 from Tulsa Public Schools and participants from rural districts such as Keifer and Nowata.¹

At TRSA, we firmly believe that all students, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserve access to mentorship experiences like those offered by JA Inspire.

Moreover, JA Inspire serves as a valuable resource for schools across Oklahoma. Many institutions use it to meet ICAP (Individualized Career Academic Plan) requirements, ensuring that students receive the guidance they need to make informed career decisions.

We understand that participating in such an impactful program can come with challenges. That’s where TRSA steps in.
