The Program

What is M4?

Through engaging gameplay centered on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, students develop essential math skills and build confidence—all while having fun with their mentor!

We collaborate with schools, partner organizations, and volunteers to establish Math Mentor sites across the state. We provide the necessary supplies, training, and logistical support to ensure these sites are equipped to inspire and educate students.

Two ways to run M4

Both models use the same games and the same goal. The difference is who leads the sessions and where you can run them.

Tulsa Metro Schools

M4 Collaborator

TRSA recruits, trains, and places volunteer mentors at your school.

3rd grade
Before school, at lunch, or after school, so students don't miss core instruction
4:1 student-to-mentor ratio
TRSA provides mentors, games, training, and all materials
Your school provides a room, a recurring time, and a staff contact

We’ll follow up about timing and mentor availability for 2026-27.

M4 Your Way

Your school runs M4 with your own people, on your own schedule.

3rd through 8th grade
Use the games in a classroom, an afterschool club, or a Family STEM Night
Minimum 8 sessions a year, about 30 students
Mentors can be teachers, PTA volunteers, peer leaders, or community partners
Teachers attend a TRSA training and build a plan with our team

Applications are reviewed as they come in. The next training is Nov 14.

Mentor Training

M4 Game Nights

Every mentor attends one Game Night before sessions begin. You’ll play the games, learn the coaching strategies, and leave ready for your first session. The sessions repeat, so pick whichever date works for you.
