Math Mentors Game Night Training

Me & My Math Mentor is a program of TRSA that helps students strengthen their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills through fun, hands-on games. This training is your chance to experience the games firsthand and learn strategies for making math engaging and confidence-building for students.

All new Mentors must attend at least one Game Night before volunteering, and returning Mentors are encouraged to join throughout the year for new strategies and fresh ideas.

Earth, Moon, and Sun Planetarium Show

Coyote has a razor-sharp wit, but he’s a little confused about what he sees in the sky. Join this amusing character (adapted from American Indian oral traditions) in a fast-paced and fun show that explores lunar phases, eclipses, and other puzzles. The target audience for Earth, Moon, and Sun is ages 4 and up.

This show is held at the Jenks Planetarium. Doors open at approximately 6:00 PM.

2025 OST Oklahoma Convening

Join Oklahoma Partnerships for Expanded Learning (OPEL) this September for inspiring Out-of-School Time Convenings in Tulsa (Sept. 10) and Oklahoma City (Sept. 16)! Enjoy breakfast and lunch, take home giveaways, explore tools and resources, and connect with afterschool programs and nonprofits from across Oklahoma.

Exploration Station - Monarch Nature Journal

Explore the fascinating life cycle of butterflies and the critical role of milkweeds at Gathering Place‘s Monarch Waystation. Participants will create a Monarch Nature Journal to document their discoveries and learn about the essential contributions these insects make to our ecosystem. This engaging activity fosters a deeper understanding of biodiversity and conservation.

STEMtember Proclamation

Join TRSA as we celebrate STEMtember! The City of Tulsa will officially recognize this month with a Proclamation highlighting the importance of STEM education and innovation in our community. We’d love to see a large gathering of students, educators, families, friends, and anyone who cares about STEM join us for this special moment.

Proclamations will be presented after the Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence. Councilors will take a photo with attendees after the presentation, and you are free to leave once the proclamation is complete.

Dive In: SeaPerch Professional Development

Join TRSA to inspire students with engineering, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving, with a chance to qualify for the International SeaPerch Challenge! Thanks to generous support from the Naval League and BlueForge, this FREE one-day PD teaches educators how to build and coach student teams through the exciting world of underwater robotics. Learn to design and build a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) through hands-on activities, gain coaching guidance, and take home a free SeaPerch ROV kit for your school, proudly sponsored by the people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas!

Applications are due by Aug. 22. This opportunity is open to educators from schools that are new to the SeaPerch Robotics Challenge.

Oklahoma Renewable Energy Education Program Workshop

Join Oklahoma Renewable Energy Education Program (OREEP) for a free renewable energy workshop! Teachers will learn ideas and materials for increasing awareness of alternatives to fossil fuel energy, how to start a pollinator garden, and ideas on additional sustainable practices. These lessons are designed to easily facilitate classroom participation in all grades, with some adaptations for the various levels of instruction. Participants will receive free STEAM lessons plans, supplies including solar and wind energy education kits and supplies for starting a pollinator garden.

After attending a workshop, additional kits of supplies needed to perform the renewable energy lessons are available to teachers.

STEAM Night at Oklahoma Aquarium

Want to bring STEAM subjects to life for your aqua fans? Join Oklahoma Aquarium for STEAM Make & Take Project Evenings! Participants will take away lessons about the importance of environmental conservation while creating unique STEAM projects they can take home with them. 

This event is free for all Oklahoma Aquarium members or with daily admission. Due to this event’s rising popularity, please RSVP save your spot!

Earth is our Oasis in Space! A planet full of life sustaining water. Are there other Oasis in our Solar System? Are there other places that can harbor life? The target audience age for Oasis in Space is 8 years to adult.

10th Annual Celebration

Join Tulsa County Parks for their 10th annual Monarchs on the Mountain event this September! Celebrate the Monarch migration and learn about local conservation efforts. This all-ages event features over 50 partners dedicated to protecting our environment. You can purchase native plants, see Monarchs tagged for research, and hear from David Redhage of the Kerr Center on conservation. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with our intertwined ecosystem!

Join the Tulsa Air and Space Museum for a captivating conversation and book signing featuring Christian Davenport, acclaimed Washington Post reporter and author of Rocket Dreams: Musk, Bezos, and the Inside Story of the New, Trillion-Dollar Space Race.

Enjoy some creative playtime with your toddler (ages 0-3 years) as you meet with a Tulsa Zoo educator to start building a connection with nature in this fun and interactive sensory experience. Parents and their children can bond during hands-on nature-based activities and close-up encounters with zoo ambassador animals. Help introduce a love for nature and develop important skills like eye-hand coordination and working cooperatively with friends.

This September, we’re excited to launch TRSA’s new Data Dashboard, a one-stop hub designed to make partner collaboration easier and more impactful. Through the dashboard, partners can seamlessly sign programs up for digital badges, access revised PEAR surveys focused on clear survey goals, and utilize condensed evaluation tools to capture meaningful feedback. The platform will also streamline requests for marketing and communications assistance, giving partners a simple, centralized way to strengthen programs and showcase student impact.

Visit Gathering Place‘s Sky Garden to learn about the importance of bees in our environment. Calling all homeschoolers!

On the last Friday of every month, join the Tulsa Zoo for Nature Academy at the Oklahoma Central Credit Union Nature Exchange! We have a treasure trove of exciting activities and prompts, all designed to inspire you to explore the outdoors. There is a different theme every month, so learn something new every time!

Nature Academy is free with general zoo admission, and no registration is required.

Step into the lab and discover the science behind beauty with Black to the Lab!

​The Little Chemist is a hands-on STEM workshop introducing students to the exciting field of cosmetic chemistry. This session invites participants to become scientists for the day to formulate their own body scrub and learn all about the cosmetic chemistry industry.

​Through this fun, interactive experience, students will learn chemistry concepts all while sparking curiosity, creativity, and confidence in STEM.

Join a Garver bridge engineer for an up-close look at this exciting career. Spend a day in the life of a structural engineer, get professional insight, and a firsthand look at how structural engineering shapes communities.

STEM in a Bag: Design a Hand Pollinator

Pollinators like bees and butterflies play a big role in helping plants grow, but what happens when they can’t do the job? In this activity, you’ll step into the role of an engineer and design your very own hand pollinator to transfer pollen from one flower to another. Using everyday materials, you’ll explore how structure and design impact function — and discover just how important pollinators are to our world!
