Connecting Classrooms with STEM Professionals
“You can’t be what you can’t see.” – Marian Wright Edelman
The See It, Be It program is a powerful way to show young people what’s possible for their futures. By connecting STEM professionals with classrooms, we help students meet role models who look like them, share their journeys, and inspire them to see themselves in STEM careers.
Our goal is simple: open doors to possibility, break down stereotypes, and build a stronger, more inclusive STEM future—one experience at a time.
Why It Matters
Students can’t aspire to careers they have never seen or imagined. See It, Be It is designed to:
Connect youth with real people working in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Share diverse stories so students see that STEM is for everyone.
Build STEM identity by helping students picture themselves as future engineers, scientists, coders, healthcare providers, innovators, and more.
Support educators with real-world connections to bring their lessons to life.
This program supports our strategic goals of increasing career awareness and strengthening STEM identity for youth across Oklahoma.
