Exponential Growth

Math Institute

Make Math Moments Matter

Transform your math instruction while building lasting connections with fellow educators across the Tulsa region. Exponential Growth Math is a year-long, in-depth professional development experience designed to help educators create rich, relevant, and engaging math learning experiences for students.

Through hands-on learning, a focus on positive math mindset, and intentional integration of math and literacy, participants gain practical strategies they can immediately apply in the classroom. The program follows a multi-year rotation cycle, allowing educators to join at any point and continue growing over time.

Each cohort includes a two-day summer institute, followed by fall and spring follow-up sessions that support implementation, reflection, and collaboration.

Join nationally recognized mathematics educator Dr. Martha Parrott as she guides you through a dynamic learning experience grounded in research-based best practices. Dr. Parrott serves as Professor of Mathematics at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where she also holds several key leadership roles: Assistant Dean of the Gregg Wadley College of Science and Health Professions, Chair of the M.Ed. Mathematics Education program, and Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. As a DaVinci Fellow, Dr. Parrott is celebrated for her innovative and creative approaches to teaching mathematics across all grade levels.

Program Structure

Exponential Growth Math is a year-long experience and part of a broader rotation cycle. Educators may enter the cycle at any time.

Grade-level focus areas rotate through:

  • Number & Operations

  • Algebraic Thinking

  • Geometry & Measurement

New in 2026: A fourth-year rotation has been added for the 3rd–5th grade cohort, allowing more educators to participate in this high-demand grade band.

Workshop Dates

Accepted applicants are expected to attend both full days in the summer and both follow-up days in the fall and spring. Please do not apply if you are unable to attend all session dates for your chosen cohort.
