Every quarter, your support opens doors to hands-on STEM across Oklahoma. Here’s what students, educators, collaborators, and volunteers made possible so far this year — and the stories behind the numbers.
LEAD STORY
The Next Team Starts With a Teacher
More than a third of the teams at this year’s SeaPerch Challenge didn’t exist a year ago, and the growth traces back to a single day of teacher training. Read more →
Youth Impact
Through TRSA-led programs, thousands of youth experienced STEM in action this year, and by equipping educators and partners with high-quality resources, our reach extends to students in every corner of the state.
YOUTH STORY
More Than a Medal: What the Science Fair Changes in Students
Students defended original research before practicing STEM professionals — and for two Jenks students, the road led to the world’s largest pre-college competition. Read more →
Educator Impact
Investing in youth means investing in educators. Across 18 professional development (PD) events this year, teachers logged thousands of hands-on hours, and our STEM Shoppe lending library kept high-quality materials within reach of schools across the region.
EDUCATOR STORY
“Is this from your math teacher cohort?”
In one Collinsville fifth-grade classroom, students beg for math games and embrace “productive struggle” — PD that 100% of educators called worth their time. Read more →
Volunteer Engagement
Volunteers bring STEM to life: mentoring students, judging competitions, and guiding teams across our community. Their hours represent more than $33,000 in contributed value, based on Oklahoma’s $31.33-per-hour service rate.
MOMENTUM
MOMENTUM helps students earn badges for the STEM skills they learn in school and through community programs. More than 2,900 badges are expected to be awarded by the end of the year. Each badge celebrates learning and helps students get ready for future opportunities.
Grants Awarded
Through the Siegfried Excellence in STEM Education Awards and the STEM Funding Center, TRSA is putting funding directly into the hands of outstanding educators — supporting hands-on projects that bring STEM to life for students across Oklahoma.
Your support makes these moments possible.
