Case Center Public Astronomy Night
Join the Astronomy Club of Tulsa for a free, family-friendly evening of stargazing at the Case Community Center!
Club members will set up a variety of telescopes on the spacious lawn, giving guests the opportunity to explore the wonders of the night sky. Stop by for a few minutes or stay for the entire evening. Bring the family, a lawn chair, and enjoy the sunset before turning your eyes to the stars.
This event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome and help the Astronomy Club of Tulsa continue Bringing the Stars to the Eyes of Tulsa since 1937.
What You May See
Weather permitting, guests may have the opportunity to observe a variety of celestial objects throughout the evening.
Before sunset, specially filtered solar telescopes may offer safe views of the Sun, including sunspots and solar prominences. As the sky grows darker, guests may also see the first-quarter Moon, Saturn, Neptune, star clusters, galaxies, and other sights not easily visible from the city.
