On Saturday, March 30th, 57 teams from across Oklahoma participated in our SeaPerch Challenge, a robotics competition that involves designing, building, and operating an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
At the competition, students tested their ROV’s performance in a series of underwater challenges and then participated in an interview to talk through their design process. The underwater challenges included navigating an underwater obstacle course and a real-world-themed mission course inspired by this year’s mission theme, “Deep Sea Exploration.” Learn more about the program here.
The top 2 scoring teams are advancing to the International SeaPerch Challenge in May in Maryland. TRSA pays for their costs to attend. Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s SeaPerch and those who helped make it possible!
