See It, Be It
Connecting Students with STEM Professionals
Inspired by Marian Wright Edelman’s powerful words, “You can’t be what you don’t see,” the See It, Be It program bridges the gap between students and the exciting world of STEM careers and studies. We connect passionate STEM professionals with opportunities to spark students’ interest and broaden their horizons. Whether you’re a STEM professional looking to inspire the next generation or an educator seeking to bring real-world STEM connections to your students, this program offers valuable opportunities.

Opportunities
See It, Be It Speakers Bureau
Professionals working in STEM fields share their personal 'STEM Spark' – the moment they became interested in STEM – along with their career journeys and knowledge, by visiting K-12 classrooms, giving keynote speeches, and participating in career panels. This allows students to learn firsthand about diverse STEM paths.
STEM Demonstrations
A valuable way for STEM professionals and groups to connect with students at events like family nights and career expos is through interactive, hands-on activities. These demonstrations allow students to directly experience STEM concepts.
Interview with a STEM Professional
To showcase the diverse paths within STEM, professionals working in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math fields are invited to share their career stories through video submissions. These videos are then made available on our YouTube Channel for teachers and students to learn about the variety of STEM careers.
