At Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance, we are incredibly grateful for our long-standing partnership with the Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW). For the past five years, TAUW has generously supported our mission to enhance STEM education experiences in school settings, making a significant impact on our community.

TAUW is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families throughout our region, focusing on creating a healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency. Their funding supports a wide range of nonprofit programs that directly benefit the community, ensuring that essential services are accessible to those in need.

One such program is the Street School, a lifeline for at-risk youth. This tuition-free dropout prevention program offers a second chance to students in grades 9-12, providing education and essential therapeutic counseling. By offering the support they need, the Street School helps young people stay on track and realize their full potential.

In partnership with City Year, TAUW is elevating classroom experiences across Tulsa. By providing extra support to local schools and teachers, TAUW ensures that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

211 Eastern Oklahoma is another vital service offered by TAUW. This resource connects individuals with trained specialists who can provide access to a wide range of services, from educational information to counseling. This comprehensive support system is a beacon of hope for community members seeking assistance.

TAUW’s commitment to fostering growth and development extends beyond traditional education. Programs like NTech Collaborative and the New Voices Board Internship Program are empowering our community by promoting education, engagement, and leadership.
