AISES helps students move forward in their educational journeys by providing a wide range of programs and scholarship opportunities. AISES scholarships help students acquire skills and training that will help them meet the unique STEM needs of their communities. To apply, you must be an AISES member (due waivers are available).
AISES student members have easy access to scholarships for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada through the Online Scholarship Application Information System (OASIS) provided by Indigenous Education, Inc. In OASIS, students will complete a General Application Profile that can be finished, revised, and submitted year-round and that will automatically match students only with the scholarship opportunities they are eligible for, and those that are open and available to receive. The scholarships close April 30th each year.

The Tulsa Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is pleased to announce that applications are open for the JD Metcalfe College Scholarship. This $2000 scholarship is awarded to a minimum of three Junior and Senior students majoring in engineering, biological sciences, or physical sciences programs. The scholarship is not limited to students interested in military careers. Applications are due December 31st of each year.

The Jimmie L. Dean Scholarships are granted to Oklahoma residents who are attending Oklahoma colleges or universities and desire to remain in Oklahoma after graduation. The awards are granted initially to students completing their high school graduation requirements who are entering a college or university for the first time. Primary requirements are a minimum 20 ACT score, there are no family income restrictions and awards are granted on an annual basis, but current recipients can reapply each year for up to four additional years (five years total). Awards can be used for tuition and related academic fees, room, and board.

The Tulsa Post of the SAME is pleased to announce plans to award four $2,000 Justin Noyes Scholarships to senior high school students who intend to earn a degree in engineering, biological science or physical science. These annual scholarships are in honor of Marine Sergeant Justin Noyes, an American Hero, who fought and died while serving our country in Fallujah, Iraq.
Students from high schools in the Tulsa area who meet the eligibility requirements described below will be considered for the scholarship awards. Students from high schools outside the Tulsa area, including high schools in other states, are eligible if they are nominated by a Tulsa Post SAME member. These scholarships are not limited to students interested in military careers. Applications for these scholarships will be available in April.

Last Mile Education Fund collaborates with investors and partners to fill critical financial gaps for students pursuing tech, engineering, and skilled trades degrees. Awards are available year-round, as funding sources are available and as eligibility requirements are met. Last Mile Education Fund offers three levels of grants: Emergency Mini-grants (up to $599), Bridge Grants ($600-$3,000 for upper undergraduates or master’s program students), and Last Mile Grants (up to $10,000 for students in their last two semesters of undergraduate or master’s program).

As part of their deep commitment to Oklahoma education, OERB has established several scholarship programs to help advance our state’s leaders’ education. Since 2005, the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas have sponsored over $6.3 million in scholarships and awarded up to $500,000 annually in petroleum-related fields at the University of Oklahoma, the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma State University, and Oklahoma City University. The application is open Nov. 1 – March 1 each year.
OERB also has a Student Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors looking to lead, connect, and give back. Each student that successfully completes their 1-year term will receive $2,000 to the college or career tech of their choice. This application is open May 1 – August 16 each year.

SWE Scholarships support those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science globally. In 2022, SWE disbursed 330 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $1,700,000!
Students who will be a sophomore through Ph.D. candidate in the 2024-2025 academic year, apply online for a SWE Scholarship now through January 31st, 2024. Anyone who will be an incoming freshman in the upcoming fall semester may apply until March 31st, 2024.

Up to $24,000
The scholarship, available to graduating seniors of Tulsa, Sand Springs, Jenks, Broken Arrow, and Union public schools, and transfers from Tulsa Community College, funds students who are pursuing an engineering degree at a four-year accredited college. The purpose of the scholarship is to foster and enable the abilities of those interested in an engineering profession through higher education. The funds are awarded over eight semesters for graduating high school students and six semesters for TCC transfers; strong consideration is given to those with higher financial needs.

The Visas for Future Annual Scholarship program promotes environmental sustainability and education. They assist students globally in their academic pursuits while supporting future environmentalists. The application is due annually on August 1st.
