Curr IR January 2015 Update

Levi PatrickIR Updates

  • Our January meeting included a fun demo and hands-on exploration of coding programs. Examples are Elsa skating across the ice (code.org) and the blinking light (Arduino Uno kit).  A three-IR group is going to meet on coding programming implementation – for educators, for students, for mentors.
  • To address increasing the comfort zone of volunteer mentors within RSVP of Tulsa, Christi Luks is going to host a training session for the ‘novice STEM mentor’ the week of March 23, 2015.
  • Still pursuing potential synergy with Ray Shanik and techJOYnet (Oklahoma City based) and STEM programs in Tulsa.
