Science Competition

Tulsa Symphony is hosting a science competition! Students can compete in one of three age group categories for the chance to display their research in the Westby Pavilion of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center prior to Tulsa Symphony’s Pops Series concert Voyage of Discovery: Space, The Final Frontier on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Students selected to present their project will receive free tickets to that evening’s concert featuring music from Star Wars, Star Trek, and Holst’s The Planets with live video projections featuring NASA images. Overall winners will be chosen and additional prizes awarded.

To enter, complete this form and upload it along with a 5-10 minute video demonstration of your project to the Tulsa Symphony Shared Drive. Each school/organization may enter as many projects as they like, but please submit separate videos for each project. Each submission must include the required content elements in their completed form. Students must be the primary demonstrators and speakers in the video. Be sure to name the video and application files with your school/organization name AND project title.

Project Content Requirements:
1. Must broadly relate to the theme “Space, The Final Frontier”
2. Must include a visual display (e.g., poster board)
3. Must include a 3-D element as a key part of the display (video permitted to fulfill this requirement)
4. Must represent work completed by the student or students

Upload submissions by Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
